Edmund Harrigan, MD

Ed has served as a member of PhaseBio’s board of directors since December 2018. He has nearly 30 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, serving in various executive leadership positions across business development, clinical development, drug safety, and regulatory affairs. Ed spent 18 years at Pfizer, most recently as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Safety and Regulatory. Previously, Ed served as President and CEO of Karuna Pharmaceuticals, and in senior clinical leadership positions at Neurogen and Sepracor. Prior to entering the pharmaceutical industry, Ed was a practicing neurologist for seven years. He currently serves on the boards of directors of ACADIA Pharmaceuticals and Incyte Corporation. Ed holds a BA in chemistry from Saint Anselm College and an MD from the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
